Eternal Grove - MMs, interupts, and SS/Domination
Unwaking Waters - interupts, MM, health degen
Interupts vs Turtles and Ritualists - EG
Interupts vs Dragon - Unwaking Waters
I don't think Me/N is a good combo for MMing, but if your party can't get an MM, at least you can try. Best to do interupts though.
Empathy and Backfire are good in Eternal Grove, but hexes' duration drops by 50% vs Dragon.
Good luck!

In unwaking Waters, WW lasts only 1 second on kuunavang (and shiro). This is 68 dmg/second if you can max out domination. Also, her spores/seeds count as spirits, so unatural signet makes for a quick clean-up of 'em.

I swapped to /E and used wards + dom on eternal grove. Aside from that I would just go with domination + insp or illu, as you don't really need much from the necro line.
For Unwaking I used degen (illu + insp), spreading degen on afflicted is fairly effective because of their nonexistant healing (nearly) and it has a clear effect on kuunavang.

Here is what I have for my build, and I just got to Factions area a few days ago
I have a ME/E But my build is full blown Mesmer, using the Enchanter Armor to give me max energy, and a Major Vigor Rune as well
Fascasting =11
Illusion = 14 (superior illusion rune)
Inspiration =10
Energy Tap
Energy Drain
Ether Feast
Inspired Hex
Clumsiness
Conjure Phantasm
Conjure Nightmare
Phantom Pain
Before I had the superior rune of illusion, I was sporting almost 600 health, but I found out I didnt need that much. I have around 500 right now, and 47 energy.
I have a Gorrels Staff, that gives me an additional +60 health, and +10 Energy
If anyone has any further suggestions, feel free to post... This works for me quite well... I only wish I had room for inspired enchantment Sometimes I switch out inspired hex to put that one in its place... depends on the place Im at.
Optical Fusion is my toons name.

This is something that I still need to test, but might work very well against Kunnavang in Unwaking Waters. Since Kuunavang is difficult to interrupt as a single player, using a skill like Psychic Distraction could still prevent her from completing the cast since it disables interrupted skill for 12 seconds (at 14 and higher Domination). Even if you don't initially interrupt her with PD, the spell/skill should still cancel once it comes to the end of its cast due to the fact that it is still recharging. When the rest of your skills aren't blacked out, you can try doing a Wastrel's Worry spam on her or focus on some of the other afflicted. This is all theory, of course, and I don't know whether or not this strategy works, but it could be a nice addition to the team in the absence or in conjunction with the "standard" BHA Ranger. I'll test this out sometime when I don't have to study for Japanese and Criminal Procedure classes and tell you how it works out. Until then, anyone else is more than welcome to test this and tell us all how it works.

What is fun is casting chaos storm on the turtles in eternal grove. Once in position they cannot retreat, but are affected by the aoe scare. They just kinda spin about not attacking for the duration of the CS.
For unwaking I usally carry two interupts, one of which being power return, spores is the most important kunne skill to hit. Certainly the staple shutdown skills like diversion seem to have little effect(even if echo'd) so I'd take illusion/degen skills also.

Hehe, i may have to try that just to watch
I used a normal Ineptitude/Clumsiness build. The minion masters had all the exits covered and the rest of the team seemed to have the sense to bring an interrupt (namely warriors) for the Turtles so i only need Power Drain.
Unwaking i changed to a random PD Domination build. Sadly out of the 15-20 times i interrupted Kuunavang with it only 1 of them actually made it past the 50% failure...
